As October starts to come to an end and we have had so much fun with our ghost and goblins jewelry, I would like to take a moment to remind everyone that we all need to stay healthy. Our Ribbon Jewelry line started out as our way to bring a fine jewelry line of Pink to our customers. It has grown into so much more. We hear the most amazing stories from our customers and we are blessed that people share them with us.
I walked a 5k Making Strides Against Breast Cancer on Sunday morning in Canton, Ohio. It was a beautiful celebration for survivors and an emotional day of remembrance. We walked along the path with local cheerleaders lining each side, local bands playing, and motorcycles under a tunnel… all leading to the McKinley National Memorial. Here we ran up the stairs. Some of us ran for those still fighting breast cancer, some of us were there as survivors, and some of us were there for those who lost the battle. Private moments, shared publicly, created such an emotional rollercoaster for me.
I am honored and humbled everyday by the amazing women in my life. We support and inspire one another to be the best that we can be.
I understand that the Pink Ribbon is just a symbol, that the disease and fight is so much more than pink. But for us it brings awareness and to let our loved ones know that we are here for you. I think my favorite shirt I saw yesterday had a rhinestone saying on the back: I walk so that little girls will one day think a pink ribbon is only for their hair.
